Teach in China

Ways to Teach in China

There are numerous benefits to being a teacher overseas. First, you get to live abroad in a new place, immersing yourself in a new culture and meeting new people. All of this translates into adventure on a daily basis for most people. Next, you get to help people learn something new as you learn something new yourself.

So it’s not surprising that so many people want to teach in China. There are a variety of ways to do this. If you happen to work in a profession that has offices in China, you can try and get them to transfer you there, which will allow you to teach part-time. If you are still as student, see if your school offers an overseas teaching program and if it happens to be in China. Finally, and perhaps your best option, look into au pair programs in China, like Wanderlust Exchange, who pairs English speakers up with Chinese families in exchange for teaching services.
